Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay – A cosmopolitan resort in southern Phu Quoc.

HO CHI MINH CITY, 11th OCT 2021 – On Vietnam’s southern island of Phu Quoc, Accor hotel teams have joined to support families severely affected by the suspension of travel in recent months. Both guests and colleagues have contributed to various activities to provide some assistance to those in need.

Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort and Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay located in An Thoi town donated VND40,000,000 and 40kg of clothes donated by team members. With additional support from the People’s Committee of An Thoi Town, the hotels were able to make a positive impact on families in need.

Accor is the largest hotel operator in Vietnam, with a network of 40 hotels of which six are located in Phu Quoc. Xavier Cappelut, Vice President of Operations at Accor Vietnam said: ”The challenging situation we are facing not only has a severe impact on the hotel industry but also multiple other industries. Due to ongoing restrictions and limited travel, we are witnessing families and children reliant on income from tourists in a critical situation. The donations from our hotels in Phu Quoc once again confirm Accor’s responsibility to the communities in which we operate.
